The Denver based Country & Western honky tonk band Hang Rounders knows how to put together a tune. This collection, Outta Beer, Outta Here was recorded in Nashville and pressed by United Record, and for the vinyl and cassette jackets, Claire and I collaborated on art and creative. Claire did what she does best – directed and shot on location , and I did what I do best: I listened their music and drank beer. I also designed the art and layout for both the 12″ LP and cassette releases, complete with digital download drop card and full size beefy bumper sticker. In addition to drinking a fair bit of beer for this project, I also drank deep from the visual wells and traditions of big rig mudflaps, classic car pin stripes, truck stop diner placemats, and a heavy dose of the solid gold country classic grit and highway spirit that you’ll hear on this album.
