A second in a series of reclaimed American-made axes from extinct or lost foundries. This one is a drop-forged Union Tool Co. 2 lb axe. made in Charleston West Virginia, USA. It’s rehung on a 20″ Hickory haft and filed sharp and ready to serve on. It’s age is unknown, but some sources date it’s origin before 1949, before the company changed it’s name to True Temper, and moved to Cleveland Ohio.
