Claire’s Portraits of Langhorne Slim in his latest album

Langhorne Slim came to town this spring, and Claire, my sister Annie, and I met up with him and his band on a leafy street tucked away under a bridge in Columbus.

With cameras in hand, we photographed Langhorne Slim – whose mother named him Sean Scolnick – and his band before they took the stage on a stop in town. As always, he brought his 6 stringed ballads, sensitive and brawny sing-alongs, and beautifully wistful and ragged stories that Claire and I dearly love and associate with our experience together. (Our wedding song was a little ditty by Mr. Scolnick). My appreciation for his songs, his sentiments, and the feelings he brings to his writing and performances continue to grow with each song I hear – so it was especially exciting to see Claire’s portraits from the evening of he and his bandmates appear as the full spread in his latest album released this summer – “The Way We Move“.
