I spent a snowy morning with Gregory Alan Isakov at his home in Boulder Colorado last month, and recorded he and his bandmates Jeb Bows and Phil Parker performing the song Big Black Car. Gregory is a great musician who I have photographed on many occasions, and his quiet demeanor and passive presence could fool a passerby to the gravity of his song. His powerful and commanding music is very much a part of my personal musical memory and the sonic landscape of the Colorado front-range.
